Taima Studio x Tecnológico de Monterrey
Interactive digital assistant
tecbot
Overview
TechBot is a project developed for the university Tecnológico de Monterrey. The institution approached us to design their new virtual mascot, an interactive digital assistant for the campus. We started with 2D sketches and proposed evolving the character into 3D to make it more expressive, friendly, and engaging. Once the final design was defined, we created a collection of TechBot Seasonals special versions with themed outfits and skins for specific dates and events such as Christmas, Día de Muertos, Teacher’s Day, and even commemorative editions for anniversaries and institutional celebrations.

The process:
Beyond character design, the project grew into a full technological experience. At Taima Studio we integrated artificial intelligence using Azure, developing a digital personality that enables TechBot to interact in real time, answer questions, and express emotions trained with data specific to Tecnológico de Monterrey.
The first prototype was revealed during IA Day, and its success led to new versions and implementations, including:
• Holographic TechBot: capable of speaking and moving within 3D interactive screen installations.
• Web TechBot: accessible to the entire community through an online interface.
• TechBot Teacher & TechBot Librarian: specialized versions trained to support faculty members and recommend books based on the campus library catalog.

Result:
TechBot has become a standout example of how Taima Studio blends art, design, and artificial intelligence to create innovative digital experiences that emotionally connect with people. The project not only enhanced the institution’s brand identity but also transformed the way students and staff interact with campus information turning a mascot into a functional and memorable digital companion.
