BIZUM CONNECTIONS
[Taima Studio x bizum]
Interactive graffiti installation
The installation:
The installation features a large interactive display and four physical spray controllers, with two active controls and backup units. Each participant paints independently, creating a shared visual experience through simultaneous interaction.
The visual system introduces color and shape transitions and animated elements, while digital brushstrokes respond to each user's movements and input in real time.
An integrated QR experience extends the installation beyond the physical space, allowing participants to access and download short recordings of their creations and see the person that created a similar painting, creating a moment of connection between two different users.
The platform also allowed to have a similar experience of creating your own graffiti and connection on a mobile version of the experience.

THE Result:
The installation transforms Bizum’s anniversary into a participatory creative experience, inviting attendees to leave their mark through digital graffiti.
Each interaction generates a unique visual composition, captured as a short timelapse that participants can take with them. Together, these creations form a growing collection of digital artwork, extending the experience beyond the event and creating reusable content for Bizum and its community.

The process

TAIMA translated the concept of creating a real graffiti into a digital painting system, combining custom interaction controls with real-time generative visuals.
-
Interactive Design: A dual-user system that maps each participant’s movements and button presses to their own half of the screen.
-
Generative Visuals: Abstract compositions inspired by Bizum’s visual identity, featuring animated gradients, geometric forms, textures and expressive brushstrokes.
-
Real-Time Animation: Every stroke responds instantly to user input, gradually fading away to keep the artwork in constant motion.
-
Content Generation: Automated timelapses capture the evolution of each creation, turning spontaneous interactions into shareable digital pieces.

OVERVIEW
To celebrate Bizum’s 10th anniversary, TAIMA developed an interactive digital graffiti experience that transforms user gestures into a constantly evolving artwork.
Using physical spray-paint controllers, two participants can paint simultaneously across a split-screen composition, creating abstract visuals inspired by Bizum’s color palette and visual identity. Each stroke appears in real time, blending into a dynamic canvas that continuously transforms.
